Special plans for October!

Just a little announcement I wanted to make today. I've decided that starting in October, I'll be writing about any and every thing horror movie related. Most people probably don't know this about me since it's a side of me I don't often show in public, but I've always been a huge fan of horror movies. My absolute favorites are some of the older ones dating back to the 60s, 70s, and 80s. To me, that was when horror was hitting it's stride. So most of what you'll see will be around that time period. I may throw in some more recent movies from the 90s and 2000s, but to be honest, the selection of good horror films dwindles by that point in my opinion.

So expect some good things to come in the near future. As for September, I'm still working that out. It'll probably be mostly random things, but if any of you would prefer a particular theme for the month, leave some comments and I'll see what I can do. Of course, I ask that whatever you request, it falls within the realm of my own interests or hobbies. I realize that sounds selfish, but please understand that it's difficult to write about a subject you don't normally follow. And this blog is meant to be fun. When it starts feeling like work, that's when I'll stop.

August is nearly over by now, so this will be the last post for the month as I focus on September and onwards. I promise this place will be a lot more lively, and soon. When it does, I hope you'll be there with me.

And so, it begins...

So by now, you're probably wondering what the purpose of this blog is. The title alone doesn't really tell you much, now does it? Well...to be honest with you, at this point, I'm not really sure. Consider it an experimentation of sorts. I've always tinkered with the idea of writing about my hobbies and interests, but never have I acted upon it. My excuse would always be, "You aren't a professional writer and who would give a flying fuck what the hell you think about a damn thing?" And that may be true. But I've given it some more thought, and decided, "Eh, what the hell." Even if no one ever reads this, I still enjoy writing. It's always been a secret passion of mine, despite the fact that I'm a rank amateur at best.  Worst case scenario, no one ever reads this, I start losing interest in making new posts, and it just fades into internet obscurity.


I want to point out that this is all new to me, so you'll have to forgive me if the blog layout seems rather simple and rudimentary at first. Over time, I hope to personalize it more and make it appealing so it'll stand out. Once I monkey around with the options and the formatting, it should start taking shape. All I ask in return is that you bear with me for a bit.

That's more or less all I have to say for now. Expect my future posts to be more precise and focused as I'll start talking about whatever the hell interests me at the moment. Which can be...damn near anything. So don't be surprised if you see me talking about gaming and anime one day, then turn around and write about sports or fitness. Yes, it will be that fucking random. Hopefully, some of you out there will find a subject that overlaps with your own interests and you'll find it enjoyable. We'll see. ;)
